PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

What do you mean, “I still love you!
She really means nothing to me.
It’s you I really care about?"
“What? What?” I want to shout.

What do you mean, “Don’t get a divorce.
We’ve been together so long.
We fit just like a pair of old shoes?"
Boy, now I want to sing the blues.

What do you mean, “Don’t leave!
When you’re out you’re single,
When you’re home you’re married?"
For me, that’s just pretty darn scary.

You really take the cake.  You mean –
To have a piece and eat it, too.
I just don’t think I want to share
With someone who pretends to care.

So you go your way and I’ll go mine,
Though I just hate starting over,
It time for us to say goodbye,
Yes, sir.  It’s better than living a lie.
